It is a dream of many students to become a doctor. Despite being one of the most common professions of the world there are millions of people around the globe who would like to get a medical doctor or MD degree. International University School of Medicine which is popularly known as IUSOM has recently collaborated with private hospitals and medical consultants in India and has introduced a unique 5 years MD course. The course includes 1 year pre-medical course in India and a couple of years in basic clinical in Bonaire and then another couple of years of clinical training in either Sri Lanka, Nepal, Guyana or US. The choice for medical training depends on the personal preference of the students.; suitable arrangements for clinical training can be made in either of the above four countries once the proceedings are finalized. The students needs to have at least 50 % marks in PCB in their 10 + 2 to be eligible for selection.

Apart from it, the students who want to join IUSOM's 5 years MD course should also apply for eligibility certificate from MCI (Medical Council of India) so that they can appear for screening in MCI once their MD course gets completed. This course has been especially designed for Indian students and special attempts have been made to ensure that it meets the international standards of education while still keeping its relevance in Indian context. Once the students complete this course they will be qualified to render their service both in India as well as abroad. Fees of the course is $12,000 per year (negotiable for needy and bright students).
